Honest Scrap Award

Christy from A Piece of the Pearsons and
Steph from The New normal

have both nominated me for the "Honest Scrap Award"- for which I am truly humbled and honoured! Really! That people can understand AND appreciate my thoughts is amazing!! Thanks girls :-) I have gained so much from reading their blogs and many others out there- what a blessing it is to have such amazing support. Thanks for every person that comments- it's special having so many care so much

This award is for bloggers who write honestly from their heart, from the depth of their soul. There are some simple rules to accept this award. Firstly, pass the award on to 7 other bloggers and secondly, list 10 honest and hopefully interesting things about yourself.
SO, I pass on the Honest Scrap award to the following bloggers:
Ten honest things about me . . .

1. I love to scrap...but rarely seem find the time these days :-( my son is now 2 and I haven't finished his "1st year album"! It did take me a few years to do my wedding album... *sigh*
2. I am chasing after one dream of having my own business doing something I love....making handcrafted invitations/thankyou cards/birth announcements/ memorial momento's..etc etc
3. I am a trained primary school teacher and have loved teaching at my local christian school but have lots of other passions too
4. I am trying to lose massive amounts of weight- again :-((( sucks putting on weight for a baby or in our case babieS and not getting the babies to keep.
5. I have a serious addiction to hot chips- ok alright-particularly HOT chips but it is a favourite vegetable so anything "potatoey" is a hit! Why does my body not suit carbs so well???
6. I adore my husband and son !
7. Love to bake but due to point 4- don't get to that often- otherwise I just eat it !!
8. Love watching movies all rugged up on wintery days
9. I love hanging out with friends and doing crafty pursuits
10. I desperately wanted my son to be a big brother by his second birthday- and have them around to love.

boring list me thinks. Time restraints??! or I'm just boring...I think the latter!! haha

I also have some unfinished scrap books AND a cross stitch sampler. I never seem to get them finished in time.

Number 10 has me in tears. I'm so sorry. For your little boy, I'm sure he would have been a lovely big brother to your twins. xo

thanks for commenting Catherine...I know Mr C would have been a beautiful big brother- I'm just sad I let him down :-(

Not boring at all!!! You and I are two peas in a pod- from teaching, scrapping, and our addiction to hot chips!
Thank you for the wonderful comment on my blog- recognizing it here- and of course for reading and WRITING!
On a side note... I only scrap the first year of my children's life and Zach was two in April and still NO BOOK! EHHHHH!!!! I am so behind- though I make cards like crazy- I love my cricut!
Take care-
Hugs-
Laura

Hi gorgeous Sarah,

Thanks for giving my blog an award - that is so sweet.

You are so not boring. I wish I could finish my son's first year book, and my wedding scrap book is still waiting to get started and I've been married for nearly 4 years (oh my gosh where has all that time gone).

I also love potatoes, but my little boy doesn't share my passion and will only eat them if I smoother them with some kind of sauce. He won't eat chocolate either, which is another unresistable treat of mine.

I was into looping type of cross stitching. Managed to finish 1 in my life time, and 1 that I've been working on what seems like forever. Have to get back to it one day.

I also wanted just a 2 year age difference between my two, but like you, it hasn't worked out like that.

I've been thinking of you lots, and thank you for your lovely comments on my blog, it helps so much to know that you care.

Take care.

Fiona

Laura- fellow hot chip addict- ah we are bosom buddies!!!hehehehe.

Well- if you ever come to WA- bring your scrapbook and we'll get cracking on it :-))

I don't think you're boring at all! I'd love it if you could come over for a cup of tea (if it weren't for the thousands of kilometres between us....) and my little ones would tire out your son and we could talk about our angel babies. We've been married nearly 17 years and our photos are in a drawstring bag....yipes. I could use you crafty women to help me get them prettily organized!! (((Hugs))) and hoping you do get to have that next baby soon.

P.S. We could have tea and hot chips....I personally love my French fries smothered in gravy and vinegar. Or poutine (French Canadian - fries with cheese curds smothered in gravy). Yum.

Hi Karen!!

Sorry I know this reply is just a tad late....but I just wanted to say I'd LOVE to have a cuppa and chat....and let our kids play together! That'd be great fun :-)

Drawstring bag.....indeed - oh I wish I was closer so i COULD help you!!!! If you ever come to the land of OZ...bring them over and I can post them back in 2/3 yrs time when I get them done-hahahaha!!! Jk- I would do it so much quicker for someone else!!!

ps- you have got me wanting hot chips smothered in gravy now...shame I'm on a silly diet or I'd go get some!!! :-)
